Phantom

This is my next christmas present painting, this one is for my cousin who is an extreme fan of phantom of the opera (the one where he's played by a pretty boy and not really deformed at all :P). I tried with this one, but the end result came pretty "meh"

*Updates* Used Kelsey's critique, also lengthened the phantom's legs and made his head smaller (the proportions seemed too cartoony for me)
*Updates* Lowered woman on composition

the line we talked about earlier should maybe be a bit more dynamic.

Aww, come on Caleb, you can't just elude to some comment that the rest of us haven't seen or heard and say nothing else.

I think this one is nice, but not as strong as the first one. The composition is hurting because the guy is arced towards and looking off page and the framing isn't setup in a way that pulls us back onto the image. He's almost in the center which isn't working well with his pose. If the girl was on the other side of him and flipped (but still in the distance) it would convey the same ideas, but the composition would be contained in a more pleasing fashion. Your eye would travel up his arm to the bubble, then down the girl, and wrap back up to the main figure following the curl on her dress.
