The Face-comic-book

Haven't stopped bye in a while... kind of ... forgot.. But anyway!

FACE COMIC BOOK!

Ok, so I haven't really come up with a catchy name, but for those who don't know... I started a little project where I use amusing comments from my Facebook status (or others) to script out a comic strip. Though the dialogue is word for word, the context tends to change. Plus I turn the friends that have made the original comments the main characters involved in the comic. Anywho, Since the last 2 comics I've made feature a couple of "Griptonians".. thought I'd share!

(Elaine Eudy)

(Sean Epperson ... not some Asian dude according to Dominic!)

First one I made, but not Grip-to's

These are wonderfully bizarre. I love the yoga one the best.

These are really cool, but I say for future ones start breaking out of talking head shots, put some more poses in emphasizing what they are saying and such

I dunno Dom, I kind of like the style of repeating the same framing and pose for a few frames. It can give a nice feel of pacing, and can give the punchline frames more, uh, punch. I feel like it's pretty standard comic strip style.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by making dynamic poses to emphasize what they're saying. Can you give me an example? Cuz first thing that pops in my head is Marvel or DC comic stuff. Maybe you were thinking of Axe Cop? Something that is pretty much like a full on comic book page. Which isn't realllly what I was going for. I was leaning towards the whole, Garfield and Penny Arcade newspaper comic strip. Because everything is very dialogue based it'd be hard to fit more than just to heads to see their expression as well as fit the talking bubbles. Hence why the panels with near-full body shots are so HUGE!
